Oh the tequila sunrise, a drink that has become a staple at bars around the world. This extremely simple drink is perfect for the 100+ weather we have been getting down here lately. Fruity and fresh, you will forget you’re stuck in the middle of a city (or anywhere else) and feel like you’re at a beach in Mexico. Are you sold yet? Well here’s how you make it!
What you'll need:
- 1.5 oz. Tequila
- 4 oz. Orange Juice
- Splash of Grenadine
- Pineapple Slice (garnish)
For this drink, put ice in your glass first then just pour the tequila and orange juice. All that left is splashing a bit of grenadine around the edge and you’re set. If your glass is really tall like mine you can add more orange juice. Depending how much you put in there, you may even forget theres tequila altogether! As far as the garnish goes, I used pineapple but a lot of bars use orange slices instead, just use whatever you prefer.
- Add ice cubes to glass
- Pour the tequila and orange juice
- Add more orange juice (optional)
- Add a splash of grenadine around the edge
