Hibiscus Margarita

Do you like “exotic” flavors that isn’t actually all that exotic? Or maybe you like having a bit of a spicy “kick” for your drinks. Regardless of why you are interested in this, believe me you’ll love it. Just a heads up, it can get pretty spicy so consider yourself warned! How do you make it?:

  • 1 cup Hibiscus infusion
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz. Tequila
  • ½ oz. Chili Powder
  • 2 cups of Ice
  • Chili powder and Lime

For this drink, you’ll start by making the infusion. You can either buy the infusion or you can make it buy boiling hibiscus flowers on ahot pot (much like making simple syrup). Once that is ready, pour everything into your blender and blend until you make it slushy like. From there prepare your glass by rimming it with chilis powder and lime much like how you would rim a normal margarita glass. Then just pour it and you can garnish it with a hibiscus flower.

  1. Make hibiscus infusion
  2. Pour everything into blender
  3. Blend until it has a slushy like consistency
  4. Rim the glass with chili powder and lime
  5. Enjoy!
