To commemorate the launch of my site I decided to get a little creative and make a little something I like to call the Chinese storm. For y’all that don’t know it, lychees are Chinese and that’s where the name came from! Anyway, we had some of that laying around at the bar and figured might as well try to make something cool with it. We decided on rum since the lychee liqueur was overpowering most other flavours. Once we figured out the lychee-to-rum ratio the rest of the drink was pretty straightforward. Well, here’s how you make it!
What you'll need:
· 1 oz. White Rum
· 1/4 oz. Lychee Liqueur
· 1 oz. Blue Curaçao
· 1 oz. Lemon Juice
Using just a fourth of an ounce of the lychee liqueur makes this drink still have the full flavour but still let the rum show. Any more lychee, and it will completely mask the rum but if that’s what you want that then go ahead. Other than that little warning, this drink is very straightforward and easy to make so enjoy!
1. Pour the liquids into the shaker with ice
2. Shake then pour it into the glass.
3. Serve and enjoy!
